Thunderbird MeetMe audio conference basics

Calls can be made in the following locations:

  • Auditoriums 1-4
  • Kellogg conference room
  • President’s conference room
  • Talley conference room
  • CMC 252
  • Voris conference room C


To use Meet Me from a conference phone (Cisco 7936 Polycom Phone)

  1. Press the Phone button, and then press the Menu button.
  2. Select Call functions, and then select Meet-me.
  3. Dial the Meet-me conference number. Callers hear a busy signal until the conference bridge is opened.


Charges are as follows:

  • Campus connection is free.
  • Participants calling in on the local number are also free.
  • For domestic participants dialing in on the 800 number, the charge is $0.03 per minute per connection.
  • International participants are charged the AT&T negotiated long distance rate.

Note: International participants need to call from a desk phone and transfer into the call if the school wants to incur the charges.

To participate in a BT conference

The call can be made from any location, does not require any participants to be on campus.

One person is designated as the host, they enter the host code, which opens the bridge and allows participants to join the conference. Until the host opens the bridge, participants are placed in a “hold” status.

Charges are as follows:

  • For all domestic connections, the charge is $0.07 per minute, per connection.
  • Toll-free dial-in numbers are available for international participants, the rate is different for each country, but range from $0.20 - $0.60 per minute, per connection.
  • If a Polycom speaker phone is requested, an analog dial tone is needed at the plug-in site.
